The alloy material is widely used because of their unique advantages in some aspects.
OHMALLOY can provide our customers with different kinds of alloy materials. The alloy material can be
processed into sheets, wires, bars and some other shapes according to different applications so that
they can be easily applied on resistor, iron core, precision instrument etc. The following is the
application recommended according to different features of the alloy material.

The resistor is applied in different electric appliances as a current limiting element. Alloy material with different resistance property can be used to produce resistors with different functions.

The temperature sensor is the testing components in thermodetector such as thermocouple and thermal resistor etc. The temperature showed by the detector is decided by these temperature sensing components.

The transformer consists of coil and iron core. The iron core plays a role of magnetizer and frame of the transformer. To reduce the magnetic hysteresis loss and eddy current loss, the iron core is usually made of material with high magnetic permeability.

The temperature switch is an automatic control component. There will be physically based deformation during the changing of temperature. Then there will be actions such as turn on or switch off.

When designing the glass-to-metal-seals and ceramics-to-metal-seals, if the expansion coefficient of the two materials are similar, it will be called as matched seal. If there is big difference between the two expansion coefficients, it is called as mismatched seal.

The anode material of the battery tab is pure nickel. OHMALLOY provides nickel bar of two different purity: 99.6% and 99.9% for our customers as material of battery tab. The thickness is 0.1mm-0.15mm and the width is 3mm-5mm.
